Framing & Structural Work
Structural work is the least forgiving part of a project. It is where we work most closely with engineers, and where slow careful measurement pays off more than speed.
What's included
- —Wall removal with temporary shoring
- —Header and beam installation
- —Framing repairs and sistering
- —Framing for additions and remodels
Planning considerations
- —Engineering may be required — coordinated with a licensed structural engineer
- —Temporary shoring designed before demolition
- —Impact on mechanical, electrical and plumbing routing
Site-specific decisions
Not climate-driven, but Colorado snow loads and wind directly affect header and beam sizing on additions.
Jurisdictional requirements
Structural work requires permits and inspection in every jurisdiction we work in.
Our process for this work
Site visit → engineer review when required → permit → shoring → framing → inspection → close-in.
Common questions
Almost always — either to confirm the wall is non-load-bearing or to size the header. We coordinate with a licensed structural engineer as part of the scope.
